To say Imogen Kwok is a food stylist is an understatement. The chef-cum-artist combines her training as a chef with her education in Art History to make delicate arrangements of ingredients, turning a simple dish into a truly beautiful still life compositions. It is no surprise, therefore, that she has been approached by the likes of LOEWE, Hermès and Sotheby’s to work on a series of collaborations and whimsical dining experiences.

We invited Imogen to be the latest contributor to our new series, and show us some of the vignettes that have been inspiring her recently. From scenes of mid-century architecture to the eccentric paper sets in Isabella Rosellini's series ‘Green Porno’, these are the posts that Imogen has saved.

I’ve saved so many posts from Soft Electronics it was hard to choose a favourite, and their website catalogue is even better and more extensive – hundreds of these 1970s-1990s home appliances with the original packaging… Each item seems to have a story attached to it, so that you feel nostalgic even if you didn’t grow up with one. I have so much appreciation for how a juicer, shaving kit, or in this case, an iron, used to be made.

Isabella Rossellini in the Green Porno is incredible - it’s charming, hilarious, absurd and remarkably informative. Her costumes and the set design were all made from paper which is such a recognisable feature of the series – using the same materials throughout helps tie together all the different animal worlds she walks us through.

Marco Mansi always takes the best close ups and detailed images of of paintings, and his framing always makes it seem like that moment could stand on its own.

This is one of an entire saved folder of gas stations, kiosks, and booths…this Vitra petrol station designed by Jean Prouvé is probably the most chic and iconic of them all. I also like the lighting and time of day of this photo.

Beautiful LED lamps by two favourites – Formafantasma and Flos. I would love one in the corner of my apartment. I find it cute how on Formafantasma’s website they described the measurement of the borosilicate tube as ‘the size of a spaghetti.’

Good find from Rude Food by WSA– I appreciate anything naughty and food-related.

I went to Space Talk for a friend’s birthday recently – it's a very cool lounge-bar in Farringdon with a sweet DJ booth and sound system. There doesn't seem to be another place like this in London, which is a great thing.

I love this dreamy, airy bedroom, part of Numeroventi’s new off-site apartment, Palazzo Bardi in Florence. It has such nice high ceilings that fill the place with light.

I like the contrast of soft red velvet and pink neon lighting – all glow-y and seductive. I like Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios' use of colour. It's always bold in the right ways.

I take a bath every day – two times if I can so I’m obsessed with bath tubs, bathrooms,
vanities, anything bath/boudoir. It's really nice how this ivory lacquer matches the floor – the ‘shell wall’ surrounding the tub back and part of the top is interesting – I wonder how the acoustics are in there.
