The Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show, is one of the most highly anticipated events in any garden enthusiast's calendar. The five-day event, which this year is taking place from 20th - 24th May 2025, is an unmissable opportunity to see some of the most beautifully planned gardens from the most exciting players in the industry.

Alongside the many show gardens, there are a series of smaller garden displays which are grouped into three categories: ‘All About Plants’, ‘Sanctuary Gardens’ and ‘Balcony and Container Gardens’.

Monty Don has designed the RHS and BBC Radio 2 Dog Garden

Last year's show had the first children's garden designed by children. In 2025, we turn to pets. Monty Don has designed his first Chelsea garden, and it's dedicated to dogs. The RHS and BBC Radio 2 Dog Garden features a lawn with a ball motif. There will be an area focusing on raising awareness of certain plants that are toxic to dogs.

Clare Matterson, the director general of the RHS, said: “Over 2025, we really want to celebrate how we’re here for all gardeners – dog lovers, families, keen cooks, houseplant fanatics, everyone – and this garden is a great example of how individuals can all bring to life their passions in their outside spaces.”

Tom Massey & Je Ahn have created ‘The Avanade ‘Intelligent’ Garden’

There are also plenty of gardens with futuristic elements. Tom Massey & Je Ahn have created ‘The Avanade ‘Intelligent’ Garden’ which is the first Show Garden to use AI technology. The technology monitors factors like soil moisture, pH, temperature, air quality, wind, and rainfall helping gardeners be more efficient and climate-friendly. The Killick & Co Futureproof Garden also brings cutting-edge green tech, most notably in its 3D printed walls and approach to water management.
