Elks-Smith Landscape and Garden Design is an experienced and award-winning team based in the New Forest, led by Helen Elks-Smith. The practice creates innovative and timeless schemes that connect with the surrounding landscape to enhance period and contemporary properties.Projects range from small London gardens to large country homes, both across the UK and internationally. Attention to detail and creativity underpin every phase of the design from initial masterplans, detailed specifications, project monitoring and planting. This comprehensive and collaborative approach continues once the construction is complete and working with gardeners as the new planting settles in and develops over time.Helen is recognised as one of the top 50 UK garden designers by House & Garden and has been named as one of the most inspiring female garden designers in British history by Gardens Illustrated. Winner of RHS Gold medals and a number of Society of Garden and Landscape Designers (SGLD) awards, Helen is a Fellow (FSGLD) of the SGLD and for the last three years a member of the SGLD awards judging panel. Helen is a popular speaker both in the UK and internationally and appeared on the BBC Your Garden Made perfect series 1& 2.
