I’m particularly drawn to the richness of Yoruba traditions, the vibrancy of Lagos, and the way design and storytelling are intertwined in African craft. These influences are reinterpreted through a modern lens, blending cultural heritage with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.”What makes your approach to design different?“My design approach places colour at the heart of the interior experience. I don’t treat colour as an afterthought—it’s a powerful tool to evoke emotion, create harmony, and define a space. Each piece is developed with a deep sensitivity to cultural context, material quality, and sensory impact, resulting in collections that feel both unique and elevated. I also design with intention: everything is made to bring joy, spark conversation, and celebrate identity.”In your opinion, what makes a design timeless?“A design is timeless when it’s rooted in authenticity and purpose. For me, that means combining heritage with craftsmanship and creating pieces that are not trend-driven but emotionally resonant. Timeless design has a certain confidence—it doesn’t shout, but it lingers. It complements evolving styles and remains relevant because it’s honest, well-made, and rich with meaning.”
