About

Jane Brown has been working as a garden designer for the past 25 years, having studied Horticulture and Garden Design at Otley College. She went on to complete a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Greenwich, and gained valuable experience working at Clifton Nurseries and The Landscape Agency before setting up her own practice in 2007.

Jane's approach to garden design is bespoke, flexible and accommodating, whether she is working on a small urban courtyard or a large rural estate. There is no ‘one size fits all' solution. Every landscape has different demands and every client has different needs, and Jane focuses on finding the right solution to create the perfect garden.

In her own garden in East Sussex, she has created meandering perennial borders set against a backdrop of wildflower meadows, an orchard and a vegetable garden. She gardens organically and in a fairly relaxed way, working with nature rather than trying to control it.
