KAGU Interiors is an award-winning interior design studio nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside, just 35 minutes from central London. This enviable location allows the studio to seamlessly serve clients across Southeast England, including London and its surrounding counties. From elegant countryside estates to sophisticated urban residences, KAGU Interiors is celebrated for creating bespoke homes that are both visually striking and deeply personal.

Established in 2022 by founder Ben Stokes, KAGU Interiors was born from a passion for crafting spaces that enhance everyday living. With a background in property development, Ben has assembled a talented team of interior designers and project managers, supported by a trusted network of skilled craftspeople and contractors. This cohesive structure enables the studio to deliver exceptional results across projects of all sizes and styles.

At the heart of KAGU’s ethos lies the belief that exceptional design can profoundly elevate one’s quality of life. Each project begins with a collaborative approach—listening closely to clients, distilling their vision, and responding with designs that are not only beautiful but highly functional and tailored to their way of living. It’s a thoughtful, intelligent process that considers architecture, light, flow, and feeling.

KAGU Interiors is known for its refined, timeless aesthetic—layered, considered, and effortlessly elegant. Rooted in classic design principles and enriched with character, their work incorporates investment pieces, curated textures, and a seamless spatial narrative to create homes that feel welcoming, lived-in, and enduring.

From concept to completion, KAGU Interiors delivers a deeply personalised service, treating each home as a one-of-a-kind canvas. Whether working on a listed heritage property or a modern city apartment, the studio brings creativity, care, and meticulous attention to detail, crafting interiors that are not only captivating but also enriching to experience every day.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

“My biggest source of inspiration comes from the unique character and story behind each property we work on. I’m always influenced by the architecture, setting, and history of a space, whether it’s a countryside manor or a contemporary townhouse. Ultimately, it’s the clients themselves who inspire us the most, translating their lifestyle and aspirations into something tangible and beautifully personal.”

What makes your approach to design different?

“At KAGU Interiors, our approach is highly collaborative and client-led. We take time to truly understand how our clients want to live in their homes, and we build every design around that. Rather than following trends, we focus on creating spaces that feel considered, refined, and effortlessly elegant, homes that tell a story and feel as though they’ve evolved naturally over time. We also pride ourselves on our ability to blend form and function, ensuring every space is as practical as it is beautiful.”

In your opinion, what makes a design timeless?

“To us, a timeless design is one that feels effortlessly balanced, never shouting for attention, but always leaving a lasting impression. It’s rooted in quality craftsmanship, natural materials, and classic principles of scale and proportion. Timeless interiors aren’t dictated by fleeting trends but are built on authenticity, comfort, and a sense of place. To us, it’s about creating spaces that evolve beautifully with time and continue to resonate with the people who live in them, year after year.”
