About

Maxlight was founded in late 2011 as an extension of ACFS (Culmax), a company with over 20 years of experience in structurally glazed designs and architectural fabrications. As demand grew for integrated sliding door solutions with minimal sightlines and superior engineering, Maxlight recognised the need to move beyond standard off-the-shelf systems common in the industry.

To stand out, Maxlight designed its own bespoke sliding door system, creating custom profiles that combine sleek aesthetics with exceptional performance. This innovation led to the creation of the Maxlight brand, which quickly gained traction with architects, contractors, and homeowners.

The company’s reputation rests on delivering maximum natural light through minimal sightlines, supported by outstanding design, fast lead times, and complete in-house control over manufacturing. By producing all components internally, Maxlight eliminates typical industry delays and maintains high quality and responsiveness.

In addition, Maxlight developed its own installation teams, enabling full ownership of the customer journey from design and production through to installation. This approach ensures consistently high customer satisfaction, strong repeat business, and excellent reviews.

Recently, Maxlight moved to a larger factory in North London on Western Avenue. Their new showroom overlooks the factory floor, allowing visitors to experience the entire product range and observe the development, testing, and manufacturing processes firsthand. Every product is made and delivered by Maxlight’s team, ensuring seamless installation at clients’ sites.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

“Our biggest source of inspiration comes from the interplay between architecture, light, and the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. We are inspired by modern living’s demand for elegance combined with functionality—how natural light can transform a space and enhance wellbeing. Architectural innovation, precision engineering, and the desire to push boundaries in minimal sightlines and performance continually drive our creativity.”

What makes your approach to design different?

“Our approach to design is unique because we handle the entire process in-house—from initial design and engineering to manufacturing, delivery, and installation. This full control allows us to maintain exceptional quality, ensure precise attention to detail, and offer faster lead times than competitors relying on external suppliers. Every product is proudly made in London, which not only supports local craftsmanship but also enables us to respond quickly and flexibly to client needs. By integrating all stages under one roof, we deliver bespoke sliding door systems that perfectly balance sleek aesthetics, high performance, and seamless functionality, creating truly tailored solutions for architects and homeowners alike.”
