About

Meg Morton is a family-run country-inspired fabric, wallpaper and homeware brand based in Dorset. The company is named after owner Maggie Baxter’s mother, Meg Morton, an inspirational sewing teacher whose family were Scottish fabric designers, innovators and manufacturers dating back to the Arts & Crafts movement. The brand currently has an impressive portfolio of 63 fabrics and 17 wallpaper designs.

Their aim is to make choosing and styling designs as simple as possible, and a range of colour palettes has been developed to coordinate and work with both large and small prints as fabric and wallpaper. Bespoke options are available in terms of colour and scale on request. Meg Morton also offers a range of trimmings, cushions, lampshades and bases.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

"Our biggest source of inspiration has to be the countryside around us in Dorset, and the wider natural world."

In your opinion, what makes a design timeless?

“We feel a timeless design is one that is both unique and creates enduring emotion and atmosphere to welcome you home every day. A design that you never tire of, that stands the test of time.”
