What will happen in Emily in Paris season 5?
One thing is certain: Emily’s relationships, both personal and professional, will not be rid of tumultuous high-drama any time soon. ‘This season is a tale of two cities: Rome and Paris,’ the show’s creator Darren Star revealed to Netflix’s Tudum: ‘Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.’
As the newly appointed head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily finds herself balancing professional ambitions with romantic entanglements while adjusting to life in the Eternal City. But Emily’s adventures don’t end in Rome as we catch her cruising through the canals of Venice in these first-look shots.
While we don’t yet know where Emily’s heart will lead her, season 5 promises fresh twists of romance and drama. As her bond with Marcello deepens, Emily’s story begins to unfold in surpising ways. He will represent more than a fleeting romance, offering a possibility of balance, where career and love complement rather than collide.
Just as Emily begins to find her rhythm, a work project takes an unexpected turn, bringing both heartache and professional challenges. In her search for steadiness, she draws comfort from her Parisian way of life, until a long-guarded secret places one of her closest bonds at risk. Meeting conflict with honesty, Emily discovers deeper connections, a renewed sense of clarity, and a quiet readiness to embrace whatever comes next.

Emily in Paris season 5 locations
The Italian capital will take centre stage in the show’s fifth instalment, with Rome’s grandeur providing the backdrop for Emily’s next chapter. Yet Paris, ever central to her story, remains an essential part of the journey. The teaser trailer highlights some of Rome’s most evocative locations: the Colosseo Quadrato, the architectural icon that is home to the Roman maison Fendi, the enchanting Piazza Mincio in the heart of the Coppedè quarter, the historic Clivio Scauri near the Colosseum, and the baroque beauty of Sant’Andrea della Valle along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Adding to the spectacle are intriguing glimpses of opulent Roman palazzos. Beyond Rome, Emily is seen cruising through the canals of Venice in first-look images, promising a season steeped in history, romance, and dolce vita. As star Lily Collins teased, ‘From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can’t wait to share where Emily’s next chapter takes us.’
