An easy espresso martini recipe
Want to shake up an espresso martini? Private members club Home House shares how to make a perfectly frothy cocktail at home

Michael Newington Gray
When we threw a party to launch our book on Fifties design, we wanted a cocktail to evoke the buzzing coffee culture of the era. Enter the espresso martini. Despite its 1980s inception, we liked that it fused two elements from the 1950s. We also knew it would appeal to modern palettes having recently come back into fashion. Home House, the magnificent private members club which hosted our event, shared their recipe by bartender Stefano Carlini, which is surprisingly simple.
